ISSTECH — Innovative Smart Solutions

SUSTAINABILITY & CARBON DATA SOLUTIONS

Turn carbon data into clear management insight.

Our priority offering, the Carbon Footprint Power BI Dashboard, brings emissions data into a shared reporting structure. Plan your sustainability analytics infrastructure with Dynamics 365 data integration and practical training.

WHO IT IS FOR

A shared data foundation for sustainability, finance and operations.

We focus on the data and reporting needs of businesses bringing together carbon data across sites, factories and companies, supporting ESG, sustainability, finance, IT and operations teams.

  • Explore emissions sources and changes over time in management reviews
  • Clarify ownership, control and update responsibilities for data
  • Make missing data, calculation assumptions and improvement needs visible

A / PRIORITY SOLUTION

Carbon Footprint Power BI Dashboard

Explore CO2e metrics by site, factory, company, activity and reporting period through management dashboards designed around your data and accounting requirements. CO2e expresses different greenhouse gases in a common carbon dioxide equivalent unit.

Scope 3 calculations depend on the availability, suitability and quality of category, activity and supplier data and the selected method. Missing data and estimates are identified separately. A dashboard alone does not verify calculations or issue a conformity certificate.

  • Separate views for Scope 1 direct emissions, Scope 2 indirect emissions from purchased electricity, heat, steam and cooling, and Scope 3 other indirect emissions in the value chain.
  • Emissions trends, source breakdowns and intensity KPIs such as tCO2e per tonne of output or tCO2e per unit of revenue, with defined denominators and units.
  • Illustrative management views include comparisons across sites, emissions by activity, data completeness and comparisons with an agreed base period.

B / DATA INTEGRATION

Dynamics 365 Carbon Data Integration

We plan the transfer of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations purchasing, inventory, production, logistics and finance data into sustainability reporting infrastructure. ERP records provide inputs for activity data; they do not, by themselves, constitute verified emissions calculations.

Data access and integration methods are assessed against the existing D365 configuration, available modules and your organization’s security requirements.

  • Map companies, sites, materials, transaction types and periods; relate quantities and units of measure to the carbon data model.
  • Check missing or duplicate records, unit conversions, period consistency and reconciliation of totals.
  • Plan data flows through appropriate data entities, APIs or controlled transfers, with defined permissions, refresh schedules and error logs.

C / TRAINING FOR TEAMS

Sustainability Data Analytics Training

We plan practical training for ESG, sustainability, finance and IT teams on preparing, analysing and reporting carbon data with Excel, Power Query, SQL and Power BI.

The scope is agreed around participants’ prior knowledge and business needs. Training is not presented as providing carbon verifier authorization or accreditation.

  • Organize activity data in Excel and Power Query, check units, cleanse data and combine sources.
  • Query data with SQL and work through sample Power BI models, DAX measures, emissions trends and intensity KPIs.
  • Use sample or anonymized data to practise source tracing, documenting assumptions and interpreting reports.

D / SOLUTION VISION

Planned platform development

ISSTECH Carbon Intelligence

Carbon Intelligence is our vision for a platform planned to bring carbon data processes into a shared structure. It is not a completed or commercially available product; the components below describe the intended scope.

The final scope, development roadmap and availability terms have not yet been finalized.

  • Data entry with source and period information, including units, responsible owners and supporting evidence.
  • A planned calculation engine using documented methods and emission factors with recorded sources and versions, including assumptions and change history.
  • Data review and approval workflows, authorization and Power BI reporting components for traceable management insight.

DATA SOURCES & REPORTING

Keep the evidence behind the calculations visible.

We assess sources such as fuel and energy records, meters, invoices, purchasing, production and logistics data. Organizational and operational boundaries, reporting periods, data owners and control points are defined at the outset.

GHG Protocol may inform corporate emissions accounting, ISO 14064-1 organization-level greenhouse gas inventories, and TSRS sustainability-related financial and climate disclosures. A data solution does not automatically deliver full conformity with these frameworks.

Regulatory applicability can vary with an organization’s scope and circumstances and requires separate assessment. This service is not presented as an official carbon footprint certificate, independent verification or a guarantee of regulatory compliance.

  • When applying activity data × appropriate emission factors, check units, gas coverage and whether CO2e conversion is already included in the factor. Document the factor’s source, year, geographical and activity relevance, version and global warming potentials used.
  • Track missing data, estimates, measurement uncertainties, unit conversions and duplicate records. Aim for traceability from source records through calculations to dashboards and consistency across periods.

PROJECT APPROACH

Define the scope before designing the data and reporting.

We define technical data work, calculation responsibilities and reporting objectives separately before proceeding.

  1. Assess scope and data

Agree business questions, organizational boundaries, periods and existing sources. Clarify calculation methods and responsibilities.

  2. Design models and dashboards

Plan data mappings, quality checks, factor management and KPI definitions, then develop the priority Power BI views.

  3. Review and prepare for use

Test source reconciliation and scenarios. Document assumptions, access roles and refresh steps. Assess any need for independent verification as a separate scope.
